The two 100,000-cbm vessels, capable of operating on both ethane and conventional marine fuels, are being built by South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries, with delivery expected in 2028.
They will join three similar vessels ordered in January, bringing the total to five. These vessels will transport all the ethane used at SCG Chemicals' petrochemical plants in Vietnam.
SCG Chemicals is a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group.
