MOL inks agreement to study marine transport of liquefied hydrogen

The shipping firm announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan's Kansai Electric Power Company for the joint study.

The duo will analyse and review the vessels and operations necessary to establish a hydrogen supply chain. They will also examine the international regulatory framework for the marine transport of liquefied hydrogen.
An economic analysis of the liquefied hydrogen supply chain for liquid carriers will also be conducted.
