MOL Drybulk, a subsidiary of Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), will test a biofuel bunker blend on its Panamax bulk carrier C.S Olive, which it has chartered from Chugoku Sougyo.

The biofuel is a blend of 20-24% used cooking oil methyl esters (UCOME) and VLSFO.

Another MOL subsidiary, MOL Chemical Tankers, announced a partnership with bunker supplier TFG Marine earlier this year, to explore how its operated tankers can be supplied with biodiesel in bunker ports around the globe.
