The vessels will be equipped with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.
They will be the seventh and eighth vessels in the company's LNG-capable series and are scheduled for delivery in 2030 and 2031.
They will join MSC World Europa and MSC World America, which are already in service, as well as MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic, along with the fifth and sixth vessels currently under construction at the same yard.
The fifth and sixth vessels in the series were ordered in May this year. MSC World Asia is set for delivery in November 2026 and will begin service the following month, while MSC World Atlantic is slated to enter service in 2027.
