Mureloil deploys methanol and B100 bunker tanker in Spain

Spanish bunker supplier Mureloil has deployed an IMO Type 2 bunker tanker for operations in the Bay of Algeciras and the western Mediterranean.

The 8,000-dwt vessel, Bahía Candela, is capable of carrying methanol and 100% biofuel (B100).

It is the second IMO Type 2 bunker tanker in Mureloil's fleet.

The vessel is chartered by bunker supplier Repsol for biofuel and methanol supply in Barcelona, Mureloil said earlier.

Following delivery, Bahía Candela completed its first commercial operations at the ports of Bilbao and Mugardos before being deployed in Barcelona, where it is expected to operate over the coming months.
