The proposed facility is expected to produce up to 200,000 mt/year of green hydrogen and approximately 1 million mt/year of green ammonia, the companies said.

The plant will harness around 3 gigawatts (GW) of onshore wind power as its renewable energy source.

The project will be executed through a newly formed joint venture, Exploits Valley Renewable Energy Corporation.

While the companies have not yet confirmed whether any portion of the production will be allocated for bunkering, they noted that the facility will feature “its own dedicated port infrastructure to export its products to global markets.”

Construction is slated to begin following a final investment decision in 2026, with operations expected to commence by 2030.
