A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed by Gen2 Energy and SEFE Securing Energy for Europe, a German energy firm, to pursue a potential offtake agreement of green hydrogen.

Both parties are expected to reach a supply-purchase agreement within the next six months.

Gen2 Energy is working on several green hydrogen projects in Norway. Last month, it secured land to build a green hydrogen plant in Monstad Havneområde in Åfjord, Norway. The company has also partnered with Norway’s hydrogen bunkering company Hyon to develop a hydrogen hub for maritime transport in Nordland.
