Norwegian Car Carriers orders another LNG dual-fuel vessel from China

Oslo-headquartered shipping company Norwegian Car Carriers has placed an additional order for an LNG dual-fuel car carrier at China’s Raffles Yantai Shipyard.

The 7,000-CEU vessel will be capable of operating on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

This latest order adds to three LNG dual-fuel car carriers already under construction at the same yard.

The company took delivery of the first ship, NOCC Pacific, in November, but has yet to disclose its deployment plans or the delivery timeline for the remaining vessels.
