The 86,700-cbm very large gas carrier (VLGC) will be fuelled by both liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and low-sulphur fuel oil.

The vessel will be equipped with separate cargo tanks capable of simultaneously transporting both LPG and liquefied ammonia, according to KHI.

NYK Line has announced that the VLGC will be the seventh vessel in its fleet of LPG-fuelled LPG carriers. Earlier this week, NYK Line took delivery of the LPG dual-fuel 84,000-cbm LPG carrier Latana Planet from KHI.

It is also the fifth liquefied ammonia carrier NYK Line has ordered in the past two years. All vessels will be built at KHI's Sakaide Works and are expected to be delivered between 2024 and 2026.
