NYK takes delivery of LPG-capable gas carrier

NYK Line has taken delivery of an LPG-capable very large gas carrier.

The Lyla Pathfinder can operate on both LPG and conventional marine fuels and is designed to carry ammonia in addition to LPG. 

Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) built the 87,000-cbm vessel, which will be chartered from NYK Line to Swiss energy firm BGN.

The companies have not disclosed where the vessel will be deployed.
