NYK’s LNG-fuelled PCTC completes its first bunkering

An LNG-fuelled pure car and truck carrier (PCTC), owned by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line), has completed its first LNG bunkering in Singapore.

The LNG was supplied by FueLNG - a joint venture between Singapore-based companies Keppel Offshore & Marine and Shell Eastern Petroleum.

NYK Line currently has three LNG-fuelled PCTCs, and another three slated for delivery this year. It plans to increase its fleet of LNG-fuelled PCTCs to 20 by 2028.
