CSL OWL SRI, a joint venture between Canadian shipping company CSL Group and Dutch logistics firm Offshore Wind Logistics (OWL), specialises in offshore wind projects.

Subsea rock installation vessels are heavy-duty ships designed to transport large quantities of rock and place them precisely on the seabed for marine engineering and construction purposes. These installations protect and stabilise underwater structures such as cables and pipelines.

CSL OWL SRI’s two 17,500-mt capacity dual-fuel vessels will be capable of operating on marine gas oil and methanol. They will be designed to perform installations at depths of up to 100 metres, to support bottom-fixed wind farms and their associated cables.

The first vessel is expected to be delivered in August 2026, followed by the second in November 2026.
