Orix orders a pair of methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers

Financial services firm Orix Corporation (Orix) has ordered two methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers from Japan’s Tsuneishi Shipbuilding.

The bulk carriers will be able to run on methanol and conventional marine fuels. The ships will be built by Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding.
Additionally, Orix, through its subsidiary Santoku Senpaku, has ordered another bulk carrier from Oshima Shipbuilding. However, it has not disclosed the propulsion details for this vessel.
The company has also not provided any information about the potential delivery dates for these vessels.
