Peninsula bunkers car carrier with LNG in Gibraltar

Global marine fuel supplier Peninsula has bunkered a car carrier with an undisclosed amount of liquified natural gas (LNG) in Gibraltar.

The LNG dual-fuel car carrier — Thor Highway — is currently on charter by the Japanese transportation firm K Line.

The LNG stem was delivered using Peninsula’s bunker vessel Levante LNG.

The Gibraltar Port Authority and Peninsula collaborated on the LNG bunker delivery operation. According to the AIS data tracker Marine Traffic, the carrier is en route to Durban.
