Peninsula orders new LNG bunker vessel

It has signed an agreement with South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard to build the new vessel.

The vessel will have a capacity of 18,000 cbm and can bunker both LNG and bio-LNG. It is slated for delivery in 2027. Peninsula has not specified where the vessel will deployed upon delivery.

The agreement also provides an option to construct a second LNG vessel.

Since October 2023, Peninsula has been operating a 12,500 cbm LNG bunkering vessel, Levante LNG in the Strait of Gibraltar and the western Mediterranean region.
