The company plans to offer used cooking oil methyl ester (UCOME) based biofuels which are International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC)-certified.
"We will have the ability to supply all blends to customer specifications," Peninsula's spokesperson told ENGINE. Biofuel deliveries will happen through barges, he added.
Peninsula is a physical supplier in major ports in the Gibraltar Strait, the Mediterranean, northern Europe and Panama. It also aims to expand biofuel supply to some of these locations in the near term - although it has not confirmed which.
Last week, the company unveiled plans to start LNG bunkering across the Mediterranean region, including ports in the Gibraltar Strait and Spain, with its upcoming LNG bunker vessel Levante LNG.
