The company said the move reflects its efforts to scale up the production and distribution of marine biofuels.
The B24 product includes 24% biodiesel supplied by Petrobras Biocombustível (PBio).
Petrobras noted the bunker with renewable content helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and is fully compatible with the existing fleet, requiring no engine adjustments or operational changes.
The blend also complies with international marine fuel standards, including limits on sulfur content set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The company is currently expanding its logistics capabilities to supply biofuel to more vessels in Brazil and also expand internationally.
