Petrobras to halt bunker sales due to holiday, premiums possible thereafter

Petrobras has recommended that clients plan purchases on adjacent days to ensure smoother supply and pricing.

Petrobras Bunkering has outlined adjustments to its commercial desk operations in line with upcoming holidays on 21 April and 23 April.

Bunker sales will not be conducted on 21 April due to a national holiday in Brazil.

On 23 April, which is a municipal holiday in Rio de Janeiro, all quotations will be handled exclusively by the company’s Rotterdam office. Petrobras has also indicated that prices may be less competitive on that day compared to other days due to a potentially high volume of quotation requests and nominations.

The company has advised clients to prioritise purchases on 20, 22 and 24 April.
