The Gibraltar Port Authority said in a warning that fog conditions have reduced visibility to around 200 metres. The fog is expected to gradually lift and break up through the morning and early afternoon, the port authority added.
Consequently, ships calling in Gibraltar are facing congestion, with around 23 vessels currently awaiting supplies, port agent MH Bland said.
Some suppliers are running around 24-36 hours delayed on deliveries, the port agent added. In Algeciras, some suppliers are delayed by 12-24 hours on supplies, according to MH Bland.
