The US National Hurricane Center expects the hurricane to hit Florida by Wednesday morning.
Port operations at the Port of Tampa Bay are expected to be suspended, as it lies in the direct path of the hurricane. The US Coast Guard has set port condition “Yankee” in Tampa Bay, which permits outbound vessel traffic but imposes certain restrictions on inbound vessel movement.
“The storm will impact our cruise schedule for Port Tampa Bay,” the port authority said.
