Stockholm now has two operational shore power units at its Stadsgården quay dedicated to cruise ships.
Both facilities are powered by 100% renewable energy from solar and wind sources. These units will allow around half of all cruise ships calling at the port to connect to shore power for their auxiliary energy needs, the port authority said.
This is also Sweden’s second shore power facility for cruise ships, Jens Holm, chair of the board at Ports of Stockholm said.
