Provaris partners Northern Marine to build hydrogen carrier

Australian hydrogen firm Provaris Energy aims to advance its hydrogen carrier programme through a partnership with UK-based Northern Marine.

The duo signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cover technical and operational support to Provaris’ 26,000 cbm hydrogen carrier H2Neo.

Provaris expects to get the construction programme approved by next year, and to deploy the first vessel by 2026 to export hydrogen from Australia, which is set to scale production and become a major hydrogen exporter.
