B30-LSMGO blend consists of 30% hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO)-derived biofuel blended with low-sulphur distillate marine gasoil, ScanOcean said in a social media post.
The biofuel component is certified with a Proof of Sustainability (PoS) under ISCC-EU certification.
The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is a global certification system that sets standards for the sustainable production, sourcing and trade of all kinds of bio-based feedstocks and biofuels. The ISCC-EU certification assures that the biofuel blends supplied by ScanOcean are sustainably produced and meet the legal requirements of the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive.
ScanOcean can deliver stems by truck to all Swedish ports and by barge to the ports of Gothenburg and Stockholm. It has also built an ex-pipe bunkering station in Södertälje for vessels transiting Lake Mälaren.
