Seaspan has said that the bunker vessel, Seaspan Garibaldi, will be stationed in Panama, one of the world's biggest bunkering hubs. It will load LNG from the Costa Norte LNG terminal in Colon on Panama's Caribbean side.

The second vessel will likely be deployed along the North American west coast, where it will support the development a new LNG bunker market.

Seaspan will take delivery of these two vessels this year, and the third and final in the series next year.

The vessels will be able to deliver LNG ship-to-ship and operate in short-sea and coastal areas.
