Seaspan takes delivery of LNG dual-fuel car carrier

Hong Kong-headquartered shipowner Seaspan has taken delivery of the LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) Glovis Lighthouse.

The 10,800-CEU vessel is capable of operating on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

The ship was developed in partnership with logistics company Hyundai Glovis and will be employed under a long-term time charter agreement with Hyundai Glovis.

Seaspan has not disclosed additional details about the vessel, including the shipyard where it was built or its intended deployment plans.
