The company’s new series of very large gas carriers (VLGCs), specially designed for CCS, will be the first to undergo a full-scale retrofit, with the project set to begin in late 2026.
The partnership builds on the success of Clipper Eris, a Solvang vessel fitted with a CCS system and delivered in 2025. For that project, Seatrium handled the full design, procurement and construction of the CCS system.
Solvang currently operates a fleet of 22 LPG carriers and has seven more scheduled for delivery between 2026-2027.
