Shell takes delivery of new LNG bunker barge
Oil and gas major Shell took delivery of a new LNG barge with a capacity of 8,000 cbm on 15 November.

The vessel, Energy Stockholm, completed its first loading operation at Rotterdam’s Gate LNG import terminal.
The bunker barge will operate across the wider ARA region, Dexter Belmar, general manager at Shell, said in a social media post.
Shell now operates a total of 12 bunker barges across 26 locations, Belmar added.
There are currently 61 LNG bunker vessels in operation worldwide, with another 13 on order for delivery towards 2027, according to classification society DNV.
In comparison, 607 LNG-capable dual-fuel vessels are currently in operation and another 634 are on order for delivery towards 2033.
