Singapore bio-bunker sales inched up in January, LNG sales plunge
Singapore sold around 3,500 mt/day of bio-bunkers in January, broadly steady with December levels, according to preliminary figures from the port authority.

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales between December and January:
- Bio-VLSFO sales down from 94,000 mt to 92,000 mt
- Bio-HSFO sales up from 12,000 mt to 16,000 mt
- Bio-LSMGO sales down from 400 mt to nil
- LNG sales down from 48,000 mt to 6,600 mt
Singapore's bio-blended bunker sales increased by 1% in January after declining in the past two months. The port's bio-blended bunker sales totalled 108,000 mt, up from 106,000 mt in December. This was a significant rise compared to the 45,000 mt sold in January last year.
Of the total biofuel sales, approximately 92,000 mt was VLSFO blended with a bio component, which in Singapore typically contains 24%, while 16,000 mt was HSFO blended with a bio component.
Meanwhile, LNG sales plummeted by 86% in January, with daily sales dropping from 1,600 mt/day in December to just 200 mt/day.
No methanol sales were recorded during the month.
