Singapore conventional bunker sales fell 5% in April
Fewer vessels arrived for bunkers in April, and VLSFO and MGO sales declined during the month.

Changes in bunker sales from March to April:
- Total sales down 200,000 mt to 4.14 million mt
- VLSFO sales down 168,000 mt to 2.25 million mt
- HSFO sales down 5,000 mt to 1.60 million mt
- MGO sales down 28,000 mt to 287,000 mt
Singapore’s VLSFO sales fell by 7%, while total MGO sales declined 9%. On the other hand, HSFO sales in the port remained steady with March levels, according to preliminary figures from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
In April, 3,389 vessels called to bunker in Singapore, a significant decline of 106 from 3,495 in March. At 1,222 mt, the average stem size was also slightly lower than 1,242 mt in March.
The port's total bunker sales across the first four months of the year were 7% higher compared to the same period last year.

Fuel grade share of total sales in April (compared to year to date):
- 54% VLSFO (57% YTD)
- 39% HSFO (36% YTD)
- 7% MGO (7% YTD)
