Each vessel will have a capacity of 4,500 cbm and will be able to carry three different products at once. Certified for both oil and chemical transport, they will be capable of handling conventional fuels, and low-carbon fuels such as biofuel blends (B24 to B100), HVO, and e-Methanol.

The vessels have been contracted through Sogestran’s subsidiary, Maritima, on behalf of Petroineos—a joint venture between PetroChina and INEOS.

Both tankers will be fitted with mass flow meters (MFM) and shore power connections, and have been specially designed to operate efficiently at the Petroineos refinery jetties in Lavera, France.

They will serve bunkering operations in the Fos, Marseille, and Toulon regions of France, replacing the existing vessels Florence B, Tatiana B, and Cap Pinede.
