Strikes announced in French ports of Saint-Nazaire and Montoir

The strikes could impact bunkering in these ports, a trader told ENGINE.

Bunker demand in France is currently weak, the trader said. 

The General Confederation of Labour (CGT), a national trade union in France representing port staff, has announced intermittent strike action at the ports of Saint-Nazaire and Montoir this month. The strike action will be held for four hours each day tomorrow and Thursday, according to GAC Hot Port News. 

The strike action will continue intermittently till 31 January. The trade union will also hold a two-day strike, commencing on 3 February.
