Swan Hellenic takes delivery of third diesel-electric cruise vessel

Düsseldorf-headquartered cruise line Swan Hellenic has taken delivery of a diesel-electric hybrid cruise vessel from Finnish shipbuilder Helsinki Shipyard.

The diesel-electric hybrid cruise vessel, SH Diana, was delivered after it completed sea trials.

The vessel is currently sailing on a maiden voyage to Palermo in Italy. It will be gearing up for cruising in Scandinavian fjords and a full Arctic season after its christening in May.

The SH Diana is final in a series of three diesel-hybrid cruise vessels built by Helsinki Shipyard. The first, SH Minerva, was delivered in December 2021, and the second, SH Vega, was delivered in July 2022.
