Molgas-owned bunker supplier Titan Clean Fuels has chartered a new LNG bunker vessel for physical deliveries in Zeebrugge and the wider ARA hub.

The 8,000 cbm-capacity vessel, United LNG I, is owned by Luxembourg-based inland shipping firm Somtralux and operated by Belgian supplier United Bunkers.

Titan currently supplies LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) across ARA ports. The new vessel will boost its existing bunkering capacity and support cost-competitive e-methane deliveries in future, the company said.

It can supply container vessels, large pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs), large tankers and cruise ships. It can also bunker and re-supply other LNG bunker vessels.

The newly added vessel will allow Titan to offer simultaneous bunkering operations (SIMOPS) alongside cargo loading and gas-up-and-cooldown operations.

“As demand for LNG and LBM increases… access to high-quality bunker vessels and various terminals is vital,” Niels Den Nijs, director at Titan Clean Fuels Marine said, adding that the charter agreement provides Titan with greater flexibility to supply methane-based fuels to shipowners in both near- and long-term.
