Typhoon Yagi made landfall on Vietnam’s northern coast on 7 September, bringing heavy rainfall across the region over the past two days, as reported by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting in Vietnam.
Quang Ninh Port is currently closed due to damage caused by incidents, including sunken fishing boats and fallen cranes. Cleanup operations and investigations are underway, with the port expected to resume operations in 2-3 days.
Meanwhile, Hai Phong Port is partially operational, allowing small tankers to discharge urgent cargo, while larger vessels remain on standby. Full operations at Hai Phong are anticipated to resume within two days.
