Union Bulk completes its first biofuel bunkering in Singapore

Danish cargo ship operator Union Bulk recently bunkered its bulk carrier, Blue Union Alpha, with 300 mt of B24-VLSFO blend in Singapore.

The B24 blend contained 24% biofuel and 76% very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO). The stem was supplied via ship-to-ship (STS) transfer by an unnamed physical supplier. No details were disclosed about the biofuel component.

This operation marked Union Bulk’s first biofuel bunkering in Singapore.
