The first shipment could be delivered in 2028 from AM Green’s first 1 million tpy plant currently under construction in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
Uniper said green ammonia could help decarbonise sectors including chemicals, fertilisers, refining and shipping.
“AM Green’s renewable ammonia is designed to meet stringent European RFNBO compliance standards, enabled by our firm and dispatchable clean electricity solutions,” AM Green founder Anil Chalamalasetty said.
The companies said they will work with certification bodies to ensure traceability and reporting for European end users.
