Vopak launches biofuel storage facilities in Rotterdam

Dutch tank storage company Royal Vopak has opened 16 storage tanks with a total capacity of 64,000 cbm for storing waste-based feedstocks such as used cooking oil.

The stored waste-based feedstocks will be primarily fed to Shell’s biorefinery in Rotterdam to produce biodiesel and sustainable aviation fuel.

The storage area is accessible for barges and trucks, Vopak said.
