Under the deal, Venture Energy will procure ISCC EU-certified bio-methanol that meets the standards set by the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive (RED). The first cargo is expected to be delivered and loaded in the first half of 2026.

The fuel will be produced using biomass-based feedstocks such as municipal waste, agricultural residues, and livestock manure.

Last month,Wah Kwong-managed bunkering vessel Da Qing 268 supplied 500 mt of bio-methanol to China Merchants Energy Shipping’s methanol dual-fuel roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessel CM Hong Kong.
