The bunker supplier is yet to provide an update on when the supply will restart in Luanda. LSMGO availability is currently good in Luanda, with supply available by barge, the source told ENGINE.
The situation in Luanda has led to increased demand in Namibia’s Walvis Bay.
"There has been some spillover demand from Angola to Namibia following the situation in Luanda," Monjasa's trading manager Simone Piredda told ENGINE.
This increased demand is yet to make an impact on lead times in Walvis Bay, Piredda confirmed, adding that Walvis Bay is witnessing high regional bunker demand and vessel traffic.
Availability is decent in Walvis Bay, Piredda added. Monjasa has deployed around three bunker tankers in the area to match market demand.
