Wärtsilä to supply fuel system for Vitol’s LNG bunker vessel

Finnish engine manufacturer Wärtsilä will supply cargo handling and fuel gas supply system for a new LNG bunkering vessel ordered by LNG supplier Vitol.

It will provide boil-off gas management system, integrated fuel supply system and bunkering transfer equipment, the company said.

The 12,500-cbm vessel will be built by China’s Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering shipyard.

The companies have not yet confirmed whether the bunkering vessel will also be powered by LNG.
