These 8,000 TEU vessels, capable of operating on both methanol and conventional marine fuels, bring Yang Ming’s total methanol dual-fuel orders to six, including three placed in March.

All six vessels are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2030.

In total, Yang Ming plans to add up to thirteen new vessels—six 8,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel ships and seven 15,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel ships.
