Yinson GreenTech’s fully electric cargo vessel enters service in Singapore

Singapore-based green technology firm Yinson GreenTech (YGT) has officially launched its fully electric cargo vessel, Hydromover 2.0, into service in Singapore.

Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the vessel is designed to carry light cargo to ships anchored in the Singapore Strait while they await berthing at the Port of Singapore.

Hydromover 2.0 builds on the earlier Hydromover 1.0, which debuted in 2023, offering a longer operating range and the ability to fully recharge within two hours.

The vessel was designed by Australian marine technology firm Incat Crowther for marinEV, a subsidiary of Yinson GreenTech.
