An eSOV is a type of ship powered by electricity, specifically designed to provide maintenance and service support for offshore wind farms.

The eSOV will be equipped with a battery system and dual-fuel methanol engines, enabling it to operate on electricity along with methanol and conventional marine fuels. With high-voltage offshore charging stations, the ship can run on battery power for more than 16 hours before needing a recharge.

The company expects the vessel to be delivered in 2026. It will be built at Gondan’s shipyard in Asturias, Spain.
