Braskem takes delivery of ethane dual-fuel vessel

Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem has taken delivery of an ethane dual-fuel liquefied ethylene gas carrier.

The Brilliant Future, a 36,000-cbm vessel, can run on both ethane and conventional marine fuels.

Built by Jiangsu Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding, it was financed by Norwegian shipping company Ocean Yield and will be managed by German operator Hartmann Group.

According to Braskem, the vessel is currently en route to the U.S.
