The collaboration will examine how hydrogen technologies can be integrated within regulatory and classification frameworks, supporting efforts to reduce emissions from propulsion and power generation applications.
Under the project, the two companies will review the design concept of a hydrogen-based energy system, establish a clear safety framework and evaluate its readiness for real-world deployment.
The approval-in-principle (AIP) phase is expected to form the basis for subsequent stages, including validation, prototype testing, and eventual certification.
