EPS dual-fuel vessel bunkers green ammonia in Ulsan

Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping's first very large ammonia carrier (VLAC) has been bunkered with green ammonia at South Korea’s Ulsan port.

The fuel was produced at Envision Energy’s green ammonia plant in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, and physically delivered to the vessel Terra Clove by South Korean supplier Lotte Fine Chemical.

Envision Energy currently has a green ammonia production capacity of 320,000 mt/year at its Chifeng plant, with plans to expand it to 1.52 million mt/year.

Terra Clove is equipped with an Everllence dual-fuel ammonia two-stroke engine, which has been tested to operate on 95% ammonia and 5% diesel pilot fuel.
