Gibraltar port bans all Russian vessels from entering its waters

The Gibraltar Port Authority has banned all vessels owned, controlled, chartered, or operated by any person connected with Russia.

The ban includes carrying any loading or cargo which is owned or destined to be delivered to any person connected with Russia, as per Gibraltar port authority’s circular issued on 2 March.

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory, the port handles around 60,000 vessels annually and has developed into a major bunkering port which is the largest in the Mediterranean region.
