Inpex bunkers VLGC with biofuel in Middle East

Bunker supplier Monjasa’s bunker vessel, Monjasa Shaker, supplied the biofuel stem to the VLGC, Lycaste Peace – which is chartered by LPG trader Astomos Energy.
The operation marked “the first instance in which biofuel was supplied to a VLGC in the Middle East,” Inpex and Astomos Energy said in a joint statement.
The move is in sync with both companies' aim to expand the supply of biofuel bunkers in the Middle East.
Dubai-based Neutral Fuels produced the FAME used in the biofuel blend. It was produced from waste cooking oil sourced in the UAE. Monjasa supplied the VLSFO and blended it with the FAME.
