Bunkering is proceeding normally, with most local suppliers offering bunkers to ships in the port.

Vessel traffic in the Bosphorus Strait has been temporarily suspended for both directions after a vessel ran aground earlier today, Turkey's Directorate General of Coastal Safety stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the Directorate, a 229-meter-long cargo ship named ALEXIS ran aground near the Istanbul Haydarpaşa Breakwater due to machinery failure. The ship was en route from Ukraine to Egypt.
