The 174,000 cbm Toho Emerald can operate on either LNG or conventional marine fuels. The vessel is jointly owned by K Line and Toho LNG Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese gas utility Toho Gas.
The carrier is scheduled for delivery in October 2026. Once delivered, it will transport LNG as part of the global energy supply chain, including supporting LNG transportation requirements for Toho Gas.
